Investi is a research tool. Brokerage connections are read-only today, so Investi can see your holdings but can't place a trade or move money. We make money from subscriptions, not from selling your data or from your trades. The answers below describe how things work as of October 2026, under the privacy policy dated October 23, 2026.
#Can Investi trade or move money in my account?
No. Investi does not currently execute trades. When you connect a brokerage, the link goes through SnapTrade with read-only access: holdings, balances and activity flow in so the analyst can reason over what you actually own. There is no order entry in the product, and the analyst has no tool that places one.
#Who handles my brokerage login?
SnapTrade, the connection provider, handles the link with your brokerage. You can disconnect at any time: syncing stops and that connection's synced data is removed from our production systems. Your broker's statements stay the record of your account; synced data can lag.
#Does Investi sell my data?
No. Investi makes money from subscriptions. It does not sell data, take payment for order flow or earn commissions. Analytics on our website and in the app store nothing on your device unless you accept the consent prompt. If you accept, that can include a session replay of your visit, which only our team can view; you can change your choice from Cookie preferences in the footer. The privacy policy lists what is collected and why.
#What happens to what I type?
To answer you, the content the analyst needs (your messages, files you attach, notes you reference, a summary of your portfolio if you connected one) is sent to AI model providers. Under the API terms we use, those providers don't train on it, and we don't use your content to train AI models either. To keep the analyst reliable, we also keep traces of AI conversations in access-restricted logs for a limited period. The privacy policy has the details, including retention.
#Can I trust the numbers?
Numbers the analyst takes from filings link to the filing they came from, down to the passage or table cell, and calculations show their formula. Values are what filers and agencies submitted; nothing is estimated. Prices are delayed 15 to 20 minutes. The methodology explains where the data comes from, and How the analyst cites a filing shows how citations work.
AI can still be wrong, which is why the sources are one click away. Check the ones that matter to your decision.
#Is it investment advice?
No. Investi is a research and information tool, not a licensed investment adviser. Nothing it produces is a personal recommendation. It helps you think; it doesn't think for you.
